President, Veterinary Council of Nigeria held the first Virtual meeting with all Veterinarians in Nigeria

The President, Veterinary Council of Nigeria; CP Aishatu Abubakar Baju on Friday 24th of April, 2020 via a live zoom broadcast to give an update on Veterinary response to COVID 19 in Nigeria. The virtual meeting which was the first and in history of Veterinary Council of Nigeria, was a national one in which all Veterinarians across the states of the nation had opportunity to participate and also converse with their President.
The Virtual meeting had over 300 Veterinarians in attendance and lasted about 2hours in which the President, Veterinary Council of Nigeria updated the members of Veterinary Council of Nigeria on how much the Council had been doing to ensure active participation in efforts to prevent and control the spread and hazard of the pandemic of coronavirus in the country being a well-known fact that Veterinarians are essential stakeholders in the task force.
She ended it with the plan that has been put in place to launch a nationwide decontamination exercise of livestock/live bird markets, abattoir and other animal related areas in celebration of the World Veterinary Day which comes up on Saturday 25th of April, 2020.
